Hello,

I would like to give you an idea and ask a question about a subject that I have been dealing with for weeks. I have been using Eu beta rom on all my Xiaomi devices for many years. And now i'm using Poco F3 with EU Beta..
About 1 month ago, I bought myself a car with android Auto support. Eu rom is working fine except 1 issue on car screen. There are several programs on the multimedia device that can be used to play the screen of the mobile phone and/or the files on the connected mobile phone. The most famous and beautiful employee (youtube and web browser supports) is a program called FERMATA Auto. When installing this FERMATA Auto on the phone, it is necessary to install a tool with the installer program so that it does not get stuck in google blocks. However, although I have done all these correctly, FERMATA Auto does not appear on the vehicle screen while it is working properly on the phone. Other programs that do similar tasks don't work either. Although I tried dozens of times, I couldn't run it, and when I installed and tried this FERMATA on another xiaomi device, it worked on my first try. So I tried switching from eu beta to eu stable to see if the problem is with my device or the rom, but it still didn't work. When I installed Pixel expirence and tried it on the same day, it worked again on my first try. I think there is something in the rom that is preventing this. Especially because of call recording and your continuous support, I don't plan to switch to another rom other than EU rom. Anyone have any ideas on this?

i have the same problem did you solve your problem??

I got Screen2Auto to work on my Poco F3 on MIUI 14.0.5 with the latest AA update (9.1.631044-release) but it requires root access.

The same process should work with Fermata or any other AA sideloaded app.

1. First, you'll need to rename the apk because it seems Google blacklisted apps based on its name/package name. You can download "ApkRenamer" by dvaoru on Github (search Google) for this. Don't forget the package name should be something like "com.packagename".

2. Once you've renamed the apk file, you can install it normally on your phone as you would with any other apk.

3. Now comes the root part: you'll need an app called "AA AIO Tweaker" by shmykelsa to make it seem like your renamed app was downloaded from the Play Store. "AA AIO Tweaker" requires root access and can be found on its own thread on the XDA Developers forum (search Google again) with instructions on how to use it.
Let me add that there are other apps that can supposedly accomplish the same result as "AA AIO Tweaker" without requiring root access (AAEASE and AAAD for instance), but those didn't work for me so I don't recommend trying them with Xiaomi.eu ROMs.

4. Ok, so now all you need to do is to enable Developers Mode on Android Auto, which you can accomplish by accessing AA settings and tapping 10 times on the version number at the bottom of the page.

5. Now that you're a developer, tap the 3 dots on the upper right corner of the AA settings page to access the Developers Settings and choose "Developer" as your App Mode.

6. Then scroll down the Developers Settings page and check the box that says "Unknown sources".

That's it, now your app should appear on AA's customization menu.

Unfortunately, it didn't work even though I tried many times. I even contacted the person who created the ApkRenamer project and had it updated, but unfortunately it didn't work.
