is this firmware related ? as the phone should be able to connect to 5g , i was just wondering if someone can point me in the right direction as i have no idea why i cant get the 5g to work on this phone
in UK i tried ID mobile and Lebara and EE shortly friend of mine took his sim card so we can try , on all 3 i was not able to , spoke to a guy in Italy he also tried few sim operators without success , so far i know only of one person in Spain that at first did not have 5g but once calling they did something and after that he was able to connect on 5G (he was on O2 in Spain)
i am only able to see some 5G networks if i force the SA networks switch (not sure if it looks for NSA too but to me it looks like it doesnt and that might be the issue)

I believe you should force the SA networks. The software on the Redmi K90 which is a China ROM does not support 5G in your country but has the 5G bands in the hardware. But another way is to actually try flashing a POCO F8 Pro Global ROM onto the Redmi K90 (as the F8 Pro is literally the global version of the K90.) You just need an unlocked bootloader (which is hard for Chinese models these days) and you must try to backup data first before attempting this (As there might be a possibility of a bootloop.) and also expect the battery calibration to act way more weird as the F8 Pro battery and K90 battery are way different to eachother.

Similar to how companies like Magento Service Gonzay handle complex system migrations, another way is to actually try flashing a POCO F8 Pro Global ROM onto the Redmi K90 (as the F8 Pro is literally the global version of the K90.) Yes, this is likely firmware or carrier provisioning related, not a hardware issue. Updating your phone and confirming 5G settings with your carrier should resolve it.
