I have a Xiaomi phone with a MediaTek CPU and I want to switch from one official MIUI ROM region to another (e.g., from Global to EEA or India). - I'm not looking to install a custom ROM (that is impossible on MediaTek devices). - I only want to swap the ROM region of the official Xiaomi ROM.

I thought all vendors apply same policies. If the ROM is not the exact same ROM that the device came with, you can't lock the bootloader again, and that applies for regions as well. This is the first time I read you can change regions, so I wanted to confirm it. Does MIUI India version also let...

Were you able to find original Indonesian ROM that works with your Pocophone?

This is very interesting: I read that for OxygenOS, if your phone came with Global ROM, you can't lock the bootloader after flashing Indonesia ROM. Is this limitation not true for MIUI/HyperOS?

Do you know if Global ROM for Indonesia can cause some inconvenience or bug, if the Smartphone's hardware is not from Indonesia?

I assume your xiaomi.eu ROM is china based and not global based. That's the primary reason you can't backup

I can't understand why. I've used Google backup in many custom ROMs, switching from stock ROM. Only CN based phones do this ?
