yes, it's available and working: you can enable it on settings->display

on weekly rom release thread, they should write a note about which superuser must be installed to avoid any trouble with MTP for our redmi 4...

You can try to cover the hole of the one on top and make a phone call to see if the problem is about the noise cancellation mic... other than that I've no ideas... I'm sorry....:(

It is the smallest hole on top. Yes: coloured holes are the mics

take a look on the secondary mic (next to IR sensor), probably you have moved it and now noise suppression is too high.

I'm using 7.1.19 Xiaomi.eu rom. And it works ok.

@Gaubry31, are you sure? Kentaur's solution is still working for me: I rebooted the phone twice after installing it yesterday, and It continue to work. This morning as soon as I switched the phone on (I usually switch off the phone during the night), MTP continue to work so far.

call for a warranty replace: snapdragon 625 is generally extremely cold. I've never seen it over 32°C on my redmi 4 pro (I do not play games)
