I know this wasn't directed at me, but I'll answer you anyway - Canada. With my provider, Telus, the most expensive Androids are 500 dollars (Desire HD, Nexus S, Galaxy S Facinate, Optimus 3G), the cheapest iPhone 4 (16 gig) is $650. $150 more for a phone you can't do as much with. Lol, Apple.

I don't know, this isn't miui.us though. Complaints about their translations are probably better suited for their forums.

Just use a different launcher? ADW Launcher can be tweaked to resemble the AOSP launcher very easily.

My frustration is somewhat twofold. The "Recent Apps" UI (what comes up when you long-press on the Home button), drives me absolutely crazy, especially when I'm in landscape mode. There seems to be a fair amount of lag when switching orientations, and the recent apps implementation in MIUI...
