Hello, sure no root needed (even if described in xda instructions). I never ever root my devices as my priorities are 1 security (this is why I choose a official custom rom with published code & regular security updates) 2 stability 3 performance. I was upset when Xiaomi give up on tablets and the so good Mi pad 4 & 4+ Hopefully just updated Mi pad 4 LTE & Mi pad 4 + LTE with official Android 10 Bliss ROM: https://forum.xda-developers.com/mi-pad-4/development/rom-blissroms-v12-2-t4038271 Still beta, but for me everything works fine...- marc bernis

No wifi 5Ghz in my Mipad 4 with miui EU
For me it works but I had to change access point 5 GHz bandwidth from 80Mz (which seems not working for Mi Pad 4) to 40 or 20 MHz. Note that in this case I do not have a SIM in my mi pad 4 LTE. When the SIM was in, it was working automatically- marc bernis
