I dont see any reason why use anything but original MIUI for mother phone - she will get stable updates. For example atm MIUI users got 9.2.3 week ago, xiaomi.eu dont rush to update stable and 4x still on 9.1 From other side if you going use xiaomi.eu anyway, leave her on 9.1 - stable and fine...

You need to find camera2api.zip and install it via TWRP, so you even dont need root.

I was bored and googleg and can report your phone support but neither MIUI or xiaomi.eu not implemented. Google TWRP patch to enable it and flash via TWRP.

No, this ROM dont have camera2api enabled. And some xiaomi phones since 9.2 after enabling camera2api crashing on stock camera start - you can use only stock camera, o enable camera2api and use all but stock camera. At least for my Redmi 4x since 7.12.28 I cant use both google and stock camera :(

Santoni camera on my Redmi 4X still crash on start if I activate camera2api. Other ROM allready fixed that in 8.1.4. When you going to fix this problem?
