i've got it thanks, do i just flash this through custom recovery or do i need to flash twrp first? and secondly, does it have root? i've found some tweaked v23 stable rom in bbs.ydss.cn that i think claim to have root. but i'm only using google translate. are they any good?

no im quite happy with my battery life, am getting 4-6 hours screen(sometimes even 8 hours with wifi off) time per charge. use Betterbatterystats to see if you have a wakelock. you must be rooted though.

i'm happy to say, i don't have such lags on my redmi note and i've flashed stable version and i then rooted it. so far its very smooth. though, i have not tested any games yet.
