if you wipe all and formatted data and when you installed new rom then you are asked for pin? When you have 2 options activate Wlan and enter pin to use phone?? That pin is from you MI account, if you did not registered your phone to your acc then ask seller to remove your phone from their acc...

on big updates i always wipe system. TWRP stais installed so if something goes wrong there is no problem. just c/p new rom from pc to phone Sent from my MI 8 SE using Tapatalk

New rom on Mi 8 SE is big update because installs new android. Do i need to format data and wipe all? As i can see TWRP 1217 works ok with this update?

Hi if you are newbie follow this tutorial and instal Stable rom. And dont install TWRP 1227

To be honest for dev rom i don't know, but for stable works. Just dont brick your phone with 1227 :)
