I think you should try AOSP 5.1.1 I found it most stable of them all.

I just tried,Xiaomi would press on it's own while other two phones in my household just wouldnt respond to touch. Still I think someone should try using hair blower on phone if it has this problem.

Well I had it once or twice when I got my screen wet,I just wiped it and it was ok. So it is hw problem but really easy fixable.

You should sync AOSP 5.1.1 first and set it up with repos from MiCode. It should work.

You are worrying to much,its just a phone and thus wont change anything anyway because theres no way they are gonna go merge newer drivers into kernel and its really nice of them to support 2 years old phone and giving it priority over newer devices.

Did you try newer lollipop release like 5.0.1 or 5.0.2 maybe?
