Mi2 Downgrade From V6 To V5

Good morning
Am willing to gift my old MI2 to my father..

And i want to downgrade phone from miui v6 to last stable version of miui v5

Also i want to full format the phone

How can i do that?

If you haven't merged partitions you can return to the latest stable build (v5) and formatting all (also format /sdcard) with mipcsuite

Download MiPcSuite and install it: http://pcsuite.mi.com/

Reboot your phone in fastboot mode and connect it to the pc

In MiPCSuite do Update and select the Stable Version (V5). Now wait and the program will erase all and install latest v5 rom

I think you should try AOSP 5.1.1
I found it most stable of them all.

AOSP it's not miui v5 .-.

4.12.5 is the last stable.

WIUI is also a good ROM

after that how can i format all phone (storage, apps, contacts etc) ???

the format has to be before the rom change or after ???

Its better format your phone before you flash the rom for a clean install.
If you are not in touch with all flashing rom method i sugest you to search about that.
I think with wiui you need to change your stock recovery and flash cwm recovery. THen in cwm you can format and reset all your phone easly and from scratch.

1. I cant go into fastboot mode through power button + volume -
Its there any other way??

2. Can somebody give me a link with the last v5 stable for mi2??

stable v5 rom. chinese version without gapps and root, it works. try to go on fastboot, maybe charge battery first.

Chinese rom has also english language, and google play can be installed via mi app shop. I'm using it right now

Are you using MiRecovery? If yes, it's normal. You have to unlock the bootloader (fastboot oem unlock) and flash a custom recovery (fastboot flash recovery recovery.img)
