Weekly Update Of The Rom

Hey,

I am sorry if the question sounds stupid (I tried searching the forum but didn't find an answer)
I am currently running the WEEKLY 6.8.25 release on my Mi5.
I was wondering, what is the fastest way to update the ROM each week (without losing any of the information I have on the phone)?
I tried with the stock updater app but it didn't seem to work

Download zip, open Updater app - menu - select installation zip - done

then you have locked bootloader.. unlock it first.. and install TWRP...

i am sure my mi note pro is already unlock, so the only way to upgrade the newest version is via twrp?

You need to have twrp installed. You don't necessarily need to flash the rom from twrp but the rom can simply only be installed with a custom recovery. So once you have twrp installed updating from updater app will work as well.

Do you have to update every week the rom or can you update the weekly just once in a while?
