Miui 8 On Mi5

Hey, I just received a Mi5 from OPPOMART. Miui by Xiaomi.eu 7.9.11.0 (MFCR1100) stable is installed. Will I receive weekly updates or an update ota to get miui 8 ?

No ota, you are on a fake rom. You need to flash official rom first.

Fake ROM doesn't mean it's a broken ROM. It's just modified from official ROM by adding bloatwares and killing OTA update. Sellers of such devices usually has the line similar to (taken from GearBest):

"This Android/Windows device is designed to function specifically with the current Android/Windows OS installed on it. Any alterations such as upgrades, modding with custom ROMs, rooting or flashing the Android device with other firmware will automatically void the device's warranty."

Hence, you're not even expected to do upgrades with such a ROM. You need to flash official ROM to get continuous updates, be it weekly (developer) or periodically (stable).
