Have you tried with another SIM card? A firend one for example... Just thought it might have to do with some changes in the SIM card reader circuitry introduced in the Mi 5c (as it is a very chinese market oriented phone).

It was released yesterday, but due to issues with Play Store it has been removed. Devs are fixing it, just wait a bit more.

Don't worry about your questions, we're all learning new things everyday:) You should only receive stable updates. If you'd like to receive weekly betas again, you have to flash a beta manually from TWRP.
