If you mean developer options, you'll have to tap on MIUI version at least 5-6 times if I remember correctly. There's another engineering hidden app available on some devices, on Mi 5c you'll have to dial *#*#1#*#* to launch it... don't know the combination for other devices though.

Sorry for my late reply. Do it using fastboot: download xiaomi.eu's TWRP from the 7.10.19 thread, then fash it on your phone by running "fastboot flash recovery twrp.img" from a terminal. That will overwrite the existing recovery with the one you want :)

I've been told by ingzbry that for the moment they will not release new MIUI 8 builds (the only stable you could be referring to), as they think the first MIUI 9 stable release should be close (don't know how close, but indeed betas are becoming really good).

Yep that's what I'm doing, but anyway devs have to be notified as xiaomi.eu is built to be free of chinese-related stuff.

Bottom tray icons do not have text anymore, that's a MIUI 9 feature.

As of now no: if I remember correctly, according to devs it's heavily oriented to chinese users only, therefore it was removed.

Actually it seems it has been a translation issue from chinese (Xiaomi itself does lots of them), they probably ment closed betas will be released again from 7.10.9, and indeed it would have been strange a monday public release, as for a lot of time such releases were on friday. Just be patient...
