I'm using stable xiaomi.eu rom on a Mi 8 phone since December last year. I made each OTA update manually, could be the download button/process be fixed for lazy users like me? :)

I recommend you to download it and then install it from your local download folder. The message is misleading.

Fabi0, seems you have a Chinese phone version. In that case you can only have a Chinese firmware (dev or stable) till you unlock the bootloader. So, flash any of official Chinese ROM available version. Apply for bootloader unlock and then, with bootloader unlocked you can flash any Global ROM...

That's wierd, I have same configuration, but I do not have that issue. Do you downloaded Google Pay from Play Store? Anyway I cannot help you, unfortunately. :(

Is your device rooted or did you modified something on the /system partition like modifying the /etc/host file?

I give up and I manually updated too, I followed same steps like @Demods3 previously indicated. The previous update, in November, I was in same situation, the OTA functionality wasn't work. So unfortunately is a persistent bug.

Unfortunately I have exactly same issue as op, I cannot update via Updater using directly Download button. I have stable version and I try to update to a stable one too.
