Camera quality lower than rom Global

Wow! Real HHT finally returns! Hopefully video enhancements (EIS / 60fps / HFR) will be next. Btw, I just realized slow motion has also gone better, at least no more jagged lines.

Camera quality lower than rom Global

Well... I can't say much as there's no single principle to follow as every development team has their own plan, schedule, whatever. But as a developer my self, I can give some insights. Outsiders can only guess, but I think the answer is weekly dev ROM was never considered stable (otherwise...

Camera quality lower than rom Global

For now, always resort to HDR even for sharpness and noise reduction. They still have quite some time before stable release (was it september or october?), but even so just let the devs work. Software development is not a measureable work, only estimateable at best (read: it can be even later...

    8.8.9

    Works fine here, sorry.

    Miui 10 8.8.3

Actually, it confirms my previous guess. EIS working but only on pitch and yaw without roll. The difference with OIS only is quite clear. I hope 8.8.10 has the roll as well.

    Miui 10 8.8.3

I'm not sure, but I guess EIS has made a return as well, but only in pitch and yaw, roll is somewhat forgotten. Will retest after a full charge, since EIS won't work with battery under 20%.

    Miui 10 8.7.26

Hint: HDR takes not just higher dynamic range photos, but also sharper ones. Seems like a regression since it happens to multiple devices.

    MIUI 10 8.7.19

Not now, not in this ROM version. But I have no idea how generous Xiaomi would be to this device. At least Mi Max 3 and Redmi Note 5 has 1080p@60fps, while Mi 8 series has 1080p@240fps, 1080p@480fps, 720p@240fps and 720p@480fps. I do hope their this year's focus on camera (along with AI) won't...

    Miui 10 8.7.26

Just installed, will need 3 charge cycles until it settles for battery life. The only noticable improvement I see is the shutter speed used to take front camera selfies. It's faster now so you'll have less chance of getting blurry photos.

    MIUI 10 8.7.19

1080p@60fps is already in Mi Max 3 (confirmed) and Redmi Note 5 (to be confirmed), it should arrive on most phones, at least midrangers. Always upgrade, never a fresh install.

    MIUI 10 8.7.19

Nope, all cool. Even after AnTuTu and Geekbench it only heats up a bit and quickly goes cool again.

    MIUI 10 8.7.19

Every device usage is unique. For me, 8.7.19 gives one of the best battery life. Over 7 hours SoT in over 36 hours with 5% left is quite an achievement for me. We'll see what 8.7.26 can give.

    Miui 10 8.7.26

Not until it appears at sourceforge. AFH server is out of reach for me (<5KBps means over 4 days of download time).
  14. leledumbo

    MIUI 10 8.7.19

Not on me, this is even one of the best battery life I've ever got out of this device: 4:45 SoT in 36 hours. The standby consumption is very good on such a bad mobile network.

    Miui 10 - 8.7.12

Very similar, I've reached 143K though, but since my storage is almost full perhaps it gets a little drawback.

    new 8.7.19 on 9.5.10 stable.eu

Standard rule after moving from different ROM branch: triple(*) reboot after everything loads (typically 15 mins or something). Spotify loads instantly on my second reboot. (*) max, if after triple reboots it's still not smooth, something might be wrong.

    Video stabilization

So you're not getting this kind of stability in 8.7.12, right?
  18. leledumbo

    Video stabilization

This is how it looks in 8.4.26, (if I remember) I will take one with 8.7.12 tomorrow. For sure, it's not as stable.
  19. leledumbo

    Miui 10

Same here, I get a couple more hours than in 8.7.5.

    Video stabilization

But it doesn't seem to work, or work incorrectly, at least when compared to 8.4.26 implementation in the same 1080p resolution.
