Did you install magisk 22 just after updating the rom? If so, did you reboot in recovery (from recovery reboot in recovery) between installing rom and magisk 22? I say that just in case it could be the reason of the problem.

I had the same problem. I noticed that in the settings, after this update, "show the fingerprint icon" was disactivated. After reactivated it, now it is showing again even after a reboot. From Mi9 lite
