    No, its not a pity - its reasonable to disable this function for 'European' users, no matter the version of MIUI. The real PITY as it were is that Xiaomi focus solely on Chinese Xiao Ai! nothing new there, its always been this way with Xiaomi and new functions... China always first.

    This is an EU ROM so it is not a problem. Xiao Ai does not work Internationally so it is removed from our ROM.

    It still is DEV roms, just some phones will not get them longer... Global BETA will stop, its not the end of the world!!

    You need the Mi Gateway for child devices.

    Then perhaps Firmware related or something then. Sometimes those lines equal a fault in hardware / sensor that's why I said.

    Settings > My Device > Certifications if it has a CE there in the screen it is a Global version, if the logo is a CCC then it is a Chinese model.
