It would be nice to know if they have English at least. I assume no google services or play store. Worst of all I suspect it's full of bloatware apps. Flashing twrp and EU ROM would be ideal but it could be risky, I wouldn't like to end up with a bricked device if there is also compatibility...

It has something to do with how MIUI saves battery. I did 2 things to fix that. In battery setting set no restrictions for gmail app and also lock the app so it can't be closed when clearing memory.

I am giving it another try, this time taking screenshots. Did the fastboot oem unlock command, bootloader now says unlocked, still no luck flashing global stable via fastboot method. What am I doing wrong?

I will have to give trying different versions of Mi Flash a chance. I only used the latest available and that got me no where. Or is there a specific ROM I have to flash given that I'm upgradeing from android 4.4 to 6?
