Mi Flash Mi4 Failed

If boot loop is about 10 seconds all the time, could be faulty power button.
Hello, i have another issue with another Mi4 LTE. I had global (vendor) rom, so i flashed latest china dev fastboot rom and twrp 3.1.1.0. After that i installed latest miui eu stable 8.2 (february 2017), but Mi4 won't install the rom. It's stuck in Mi logo with the three duts down (above Powered by Android) lightning up. How come? After install with TWRP i wiped cache and dalvik.

Any solution on this one? Thanks!

p.s. normally the device will install the rom and the device will restart automatically and shows a (growing) stripe on the downside of the screen, but now it doesn't. So, how can i install the rom properly?

Fixed: installed TWRP 3.0.2.0 and installed first the latest miui eu dev multilang rom, that worked fine. Now the latest stable rom is installing and the stripe is there. So it works. I think it was the wrong TWRP, but i don't know for sure. I used the TWRP from this site. The other TWRP was from TWRP.ME and showed Mi3 in explorer, but is for cancro.

I wan't to flash my Mi4 with global stable ROM (at the moment I have xiaomi.eu weekly 7.5.11). I tried the fastboot method but flash ends in 1sec, says: success, and then I'm stuck with bootloop so I can only install twrp again and the same weekly to get it to work.

Why can't I flash global stable?

Tried: making the map name shorter, putting it on c root, desktop... tried flashing both global stable and global developer...

EDIT: Solved by flashing with older version of Mi Flash tool.

Hello, why flashing the fastboot china rom when you have twrp? When your Mi4 runs on miui.eu dev you should be able to flash miui.eu stable. Did you use twrp from xiaomi.eu site? That solved my problem.
But i think, when your Mi4 is in a bootloop, you first must flash the fastboot china dev with miflash. Then install twrp with fastboot method, then flash miui.eu stable with twrp.

I also cleaned OS (format) before installing miui.eu dev with twrp. Just for sure.

Hi ivo.hr,

I have exactly the same problem as you do (or did). Could you please describe precisely what steps did you complete to resolve it? And could you share a link to the version of MI Flash that has finally worked for your problem?

Great thanks in advance!

Yesterday I faced a similar problem in a friend's Mi4.

In the past, I flashed:
- Official fastboot image through fastboot;
- Flashed TWRP;
- Flashed Xiaomi.eu ROM.

Then, my friend said to me: "My phone is having some issues, so can you fix it?".
I said yes and tried to perform the steps above.

MiFlash returned the "Done" and "Success" information,but it took 1 second and the phone did not boot.

I entered TWRP and flashed Xiaomi.eu latest Stable version.
It worked great.

So, something is definitely wrong here.
Whether it is the fastboot image or the MiFlash software.
I just did not have the time to debug it...
