i think this is mentioned in this thread already. To get Play store to work on Stock android you must move it from /data/app to /system/app and set owner to root:root and permissions like others on that folder(RW R R if i recall)

i just installed from market then went to settings->display->preferred launcher and set it as the default. No problems with it after that. MIUI seems to go back to stock launcher on reboot but not sure if this is a rom bug or a launcher bug. not that big a deal anyways to set it back to next...

it is a big choice/change. So far no issues with go apps. I'm thinking i'm going back to MIUI tho(battery life might stop me) I miss the better camera xiaomi account and few other things.

I use all go apps. Go launcher go sms go contacts/dialer. I just installed 3.4.12 to test battery life in comparison

I can't say about latest V5 but from 3.3.29 i can say that stock is WAY better battery life.

If you install the official Xiaomi Dev rom you will have root access and still get OTA updates. Full rom list here just get the latest Development rom and flash using updater app and your all set.

When you flash using Miflash it flashes the same rom on both systems and boots to system 1 by default. Then if an update is downloaded and installed from updater app it gets applied to system 2 and the phone is automatically set to reboot to system 2.
