    Right, just downloaded the ROM and updated my Aroma MIUI. That seems to be working BUT it tells me my Kernel needs to be updated, which is fair enough only the guide to do so is in Chinese. Any thoughts?

    turn the ROM into a "tar" file then use Odin to flash it. Thats how I did it :) Then you might ask how? Well goldfish memory here, but this site might help.

    Have you changed the kernel after root? If not then you could move back to a recommended kernel for use instead of the one you use for rooting. I believe I did this

    You have taken a backup of your phone? Have you installed a new kernel that fits your model? (Make sure to get the right one BEFORE you factory reset "Settings-About Phone") There are some easy "One-click" programs you can run to do the whole process, I recommend doing that. (Odin for example)...

    If you are using HTC One X then you need to flash the boot.img aswell. Just saying in case this is the issue :)
