You can't use backups from dev ROMs to put in stable, and vice-versa. When you upgrade ROM from one kind to the other, you always have to wipe everything.

From what I was told, they make stable ROMs based on weekly dev ROMs. Of course, they don't use the releases that had lots of bugs, or serious bugs... And they eventually remove some feature that may cause bugs in some devices. I use dev, and have tried stables before, and always had little...

Don't forget that, basically, stable ROMs are just older weeklys... So of course they can also have bugs, just not serious ones.

I'm on 5.10.15 (OTA only came thursday) on redmi 2 2014813, and one thing I noticed is the music commands on the shadow menu lose connection. If I for example pause the music, immediately after it's available, but soon after, it's no longer "clickable".

Exactly. I'm still on 5.9.1 and it's also like that. Always has been.

I vouch for the change of seeing the type of number, instead of its location. It's more useful and more logical.

One thing you should know (being new here) is that such updates don't depend on the people here - it depends on the staff at Xiaomi.com. Here, they only translate the ROMs, and make some mods to make them more "european". And do a great job at it, I might add!

It's not "holding" that you have to do, it's just "press" - try it.

I think it's possible, but requires doing something with the zip file (read that somewhere around here). Why don't you simply do as myself - keep a folder named "bloatware" where you put all the apps that come with the rom and that you don't use? Very simple and not intrusive... And won't...

You're right, they are not compatible, it's different devices (hardware) - "been there, done that", lol.

OTA updates are only available some days after release here. From my experience reading these topics since April, most of the so called bugs or problems are isolated cases, caused by conflicts with some existing app, or by wrong actions done by the user (examples just above - extracting and...

Mine isn't like that - it's the power key that I have to press to confirm flash light on. (after using home button to turn it on, in the screen it's written to "press power button to keep flash light on") Always has been like that to me.

Good question... I don't have those problems, but I've got the same doubts... If OTA update is "clean enough"... Does it automatically makes some wipes before installing, etc?

In the details of battery usage, I see the Wi-Fi constantly on, even if disconnected (mobile data on or off) This is like this in all last versions (Redmi2 2Gb)

Not really, you've been doing it well. The features and some bugs are due the the original ROMs, so to report there is the right thing if it's a general problem; Here, it's more a translation place, and turn the ROMs more "european", so you should report here the problems due to the...

Just wanted to clear some issues I had mentioned in previous threads, about bugs in my Redmi2 2Gb: I had only 3 color less working (red, blue and green); Whenever I momentarily lost signal, my Sim would reset and ask for pin. Well... All seems to have disappeared and been working normally...

The OTA updates are normally uploaded some days later (in my experience, between 2 and 6 days).

Someone said that DND mode only silents Xiaomi apps... In my case, WhatsApp notifications ring... I think messenger, too. Of course, it should quiet all stuffs.
