I had a look in the folder /system/media/audio/ui but couldn't work out which files to delete to achieve this. If anyone figures it out let me know please
How is everyone's battery life?
I think this build might have a wifi drain bug. Turning the wifi off really cuts battery drain for me.
I might do a clean install and see if it's still doing it though.
3g. I think the problem was with Google play services. I've followed this guide

Hopefully that will solve it
I'm getting a battery drain bug. After a while my device no longer goes into deep sleep. I'm not sure what's causing it yet. It might be location but I've only got it in battery saver mode. I've turned it off to see if that helps. Anyone else getting this?
I found these build.prop mods on XDA (by Sykopompoms I think)
persist.sys.dalvik.vm.lib.2=libart.so
dalvik.vm.dex2oat-flags "--compiler-filter=interpret-only"
dalvik.vm.image-dex2oat-flags ""
dalvik.vm.profiler=1
dalvik.vm.isa.arm.features=lpae,div
Not sure how effective they are but thought...
So I was looking on the nexus 7 forums and it seems one way to get root is to change selinux permissions as instructed below
''If you guys grab the sepolicy out of my n4 or n5 builds and add setenforce 0 to your init.rc right above the start of the ueventd, u will get root.
I haven't gotten...
You could use android device manager to lock it. I can't remember if it's set up in miui though. Might be worth a try https://www.google.com/android/devicemanager
It won't install from the play store. Download the apk from here
http://www.apkmirror.com/apk/google-inc/google-search/google-search-4-0-26-1499465-arm-apk/
Flashing in Philz touch recovery 6.0.5.0 works fine for me.
It seems a modified boot image is needed for root on lollipop
