Atm, for me in MI8 is all ok except: 1) "ok google" not working (voice match disabled, but also on global stable i've this problem, so seems a xiaomi bug) 2) Notifications on AOD are not working (on global stable was ok), i received only a AOD notifications for a change in exchange account...

No there is not ARB in xiaomi.eu, the developers have removed it. But with no "firmware-update" folder, we don't have also others firmware update like firmware for baseband, gps and so on.. ?

Also my MI 8 is recognised as Mi Mix 2s, maybe is also for this reason that ok google doesn't works. Ok google on your Mix 2s works?

Yes, make sure you have a backup of your files, then in twrp,go to wipe and press ”format data" not wipe data. Then reboot to recovery, connect your phone to pc and copy the xiaomi.eu rom on the phone and install it.

Maybe you have to format data partition... It's still encrypted

yes you can make a full backup just before a wipe with adb adb shell bmgr run bmgr backupnow appdata bmgr backupnow --all in this way you have a full google backup, then you can wipe your phone....

For my MI 8, this rom dosn't show any icons for notifications on AOD. On the Official global rom, i was able to see whatsapp and gmail notifications (but not sms), in this rom nothing at all, just the clock in AOD. Is a bug or my fault (or something to enable in settings)?

Yes, there is the functions in the settings to backup, but if you install xiaomi.eu for the first time, or if you make a factory reset, the google restore never starts, instead starts the micloud restore (but google backup has also application data, so i don't have to restore settings or lost...

bad for me...i don't use micloud.... but i'm triyng to restore from google with adb and bmgr (firts is mandatory to enable google backup on the phone, so the account is bounded) i'm using adb shell bmgr list sets to find my backup on google then to restore use: bmgr restore 33355544444444v4 so...

Just installed Xiaomi.eu rom on my MI8, but at start why i can't restore google backup? It just ask me to restore from MiCloud, this is normal?

i can unlock and install xiaomi.eu in about 3/4 hours (my remaining unlock time), when installed i'll try this patch.

I think is the same... in italy the B28 is not used...so... i think that the only real differences are - EU plug power adapter (so, no adapter needed) - Official warranty - Official Global Rom (so i think that is possible to restore the global rom and lock the bootloader)

I've an official International Mi 8, so is a true global with Italian warranty, is not a chinese one. So fully official, with official rom, still locked... but "Ok Google" was always disabled :(
