That's good news However my experience with Mi Max 64 global ROM was months delayed, less frequently updated hence always behind the Chinese version. Xiaomi.eu has been providing updated stable and weekly versions reliably, I'm likely sticking with them Sent from my MIX using Tapatalk

Yes in both cases weekly updating weekly and stable updating stable will keep data. You can also dirty flash weekly on top of stable and not lose data, you cannot go back to stable from weekly, cause that's a downgrade of versions and will throw multiple errors. Sent from my MI MAX using Tapatalk

Actually the miui eu rom has updates that need to be downloaded and installed. The original Chinese Rom likely to have no Google services and also have Chinese apps installed. So I'd do a lot more homework, I've found the eu Rom better for international users Sent from my MI MAX using Tapatalk

Thanks - I'm in US - Need US LTE - will have to wait for global release before deciding which model. My experience with Mi - Max has been that buying the 64 Gb, 3Gb RAM was not the smartest move because the official support on that is lagging behind the smaller version.
