Does Aries (Mi2S) have GoogleCalendarSyncAdapter in /system/app in this rom or like last week it's missing? Result? No calendar sync and calendar info in Google account...
Xiaomi Mi2S with sMIUI
That's because some idiots on Xiaomi.eu again missed GoogleCalendarSyncAdapter files in Aries rom. Last week it was the same... You have to copy folder of this name with apk inside from 5.12.3 or older rom and put it with right permissions to /system/app like I wrote here ...
It's a bug or feature (which I like) that RED LED indicator do not work under 15% of battery capacity :-P Finally it's not annoying me :-D

Just my guess, but it can be related to what I posted above :
Cook 5.12.3 or if you have copy GoogleCalendarSyncAdapter folder from /system/app in rar to your /system/app with drwx-rx-rx and rw-r--r- for GoogleCalendarSyncAdapter.apk inside this folder...
Then reboot and check if it's still...
Something weird had happened with cooking last rom for Aries, just today I noticed that in 5.12.10 there is missing GoogleCalendarSyncAdapter in /system/app and it was in 5.12.3 .
I was suprised why I can't see any new made changes in my calendar on my PC ^^
Edit: Same was on MIUI Polska...
Will be, but sMIUI is based on Xiaomi.eu version and it's delayed.

http://en.miui.com/a-234.html , choose Xiaomi Mi 2/2S Latest Developer Version Fastboot File DownloadDon't download Stable (no root) and Special Edition (it's really old version, first Lollipop for Mi2s)
How to install it you will find out easly, mentioned lots of times all over the Internet :P
Procedure of downgrade to China for Mi2 or Mi2S is needed only this time because of merging /system partition. Before it was 2x 500 MB now it's for only one system and it have size of 1 GB. After that you can update like always :-) via TWRP / CWM or updater app...
Some people did dirty flash...
But if you are using Mi2 or Mi2S then make backup in MIUI, copy DCIM, MIUI and any necessary folders to PC and then using fastboot install last China rom, then sMIUI via updater. Last step is factory reset to get rid of Chinese crap.
Then move these folders back to phone and restore settings...
