    Who has ordered one?

I haven't order on ibuygou, but I do think it is safe. The only problem is the late release of the Snapdragon based Mi 3 version. Ibuygou is saying that they won't have any unit until mid November. Sent from my MI 2S using Tapatalk 4

Welcome to the Xiaomi MI3 forum

Well, I can't say that my usage is the same as everybody else, but my apps storage has been full for a while now. So, no it's not enough for me. Judging from some threads out there, some people are on the same boat as me. While I do believe it is enough for a majority of users, I won't be...

Welcome to the Xiaomi MI3 forum

I just hope the MI 3 will have more storage for apps. Like at least 5 GB. Somehow, I still doubt that and I feel like it could be the same 3.75 GB since there is a 16 GB version. Sent from my MI 2S using Tapatalk 4

Welcome to the Xiaomi MI3 forum

Same here. Still holding onto my MI 2S. The MI 3 seems to be too expensive at the time. Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk 4

In Depth Comparison Xiaomi MI 2 & MI 2S

Well, I originally came from the same phone as you. It was running smoothly overall but I have a fewer bugs (close to none) and it is obviously smoother and it handles multitasking way better. I don't know about your phone but mine (S2) could hardly handle a full day, battery life wise. If...

In Depth Comparison Xiaomi MI 2 & MI 2S

I confirm, it is the same as the Mi 2. But there's a kinda workaround out there. Sent from my MI 2S using Tapatalk 2

In Depth Comparison Xiaomi MI 2 & MI 2S

Yes, it is hardly noticeable on the photos. Maybe in the full gallery (on my Dropbox link), it would be clearer. I met a Mi 2 fellow just yersterday. The difference is really there but it's not huge and we can easily see it with the naked eye.

    Cancelling root permissions?

I think if you turn if off, it's like not having root at all. At least that's how some apps seem to react to it like your phone isn't rooted. But if you turn it on, even if you don't give any permission, apps will see that they are allowed to ask, I don't think it would do the trick. Might...

In Depth Comparison Xiaomi MI 2 & MI 2S

Another thing that I think hasn't changed. The Wi-Fi chip seems to be the same. Orignally, on the Mi 2, I was losing the Wi-Fi signal quite quickly as I was getting away from the signal but still remaining in my house or in my office. With my others devices at the time (Galaxy S2, Nexus 7), I...

In Depth Comparison Xiaomi MI 2 & MI 2S

First of all, English is not my mother tongue, so I will ask for some leeway. I have tested the new (well, newest if not new) the Mi 2S (about 1 month) while still having the Mi 2. I wanted to get back to the community in case some were wondering if it was worth a new purchase. In case, people...

    GPS Problem

Lately, it's been a real problem for me (Last 2 updates not including yesterday's one, I'll update my phone tonight after work). I had to use the app GPS status and toolbox to get a fix first almost every time. Anyway, I'm planning to test the latest tomorrow, hope it'll get better. Sent...

    Terrible battery life :(

You really should deactivate GPS chip. As far as the test on tweaker.net, they didn't come up with a solution regarding the network issue. I guess, you have to use the 2G network until a fix is found. Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk HD

    Terrible battery life :(

I'm among those lucky guys who don't have any major issue with battery while using 3G network + data. Like any high end phone, battery life take a huge hit when I play some games. But the Sim toolkit app usually got the phone numbers to your provider to get information about your balance or to...

Where to buy - Mi2 phone

Well, the One X had an early battery life issue and even with the early patch, it couldn't resolve the problem entirely. The international version of the One X is using a Tegra 3 SoC which is one (if not the one) of the most consuming SoC right now (I can see it every day on my Nexus 7). We can...

Where to buy - Mi2 phone

You need to install the miuiandroid rom in order to get a gps fix. The original rom works with Baidu and Chinese services. After installing the rom, you should reset it by wiping it. What was your previous phone ? Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk HD

Maybe try to see what happens if you're running on your 2G network only (you can always activate the 3G at will if needed at some point for important stuff). Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk HD
