3 doesn't have ARB.. latest rom without ARB was 8.7.5 It's not bad if it's 4, but if you downgrade to rom with 3 (no ARB) you'll brick device!!! If we constantly upgrade device's then it doesn't matter what ARB it is...but downgrade is no no... ;) Sent from my Redmi Note 5 using Tapatalk

Best way for me is: put rom on USB, boot in TWRP and clean everything, go to install, choose otg USB and install new rom.. Based on phone you are ready in less then 15min. If you don't have USB otg then you can leave internal storage alone (no cleaning) with new rom inside - isn't full clean but...

I think it's not necessary. I waited to unlock bootloader, then flashed TWRP, then flashed eu rom inside TWRP. Working fine. I was on global rom.(Wiped all except internal storage). Maybe you need to restart TWRP before you install rom. Sent from my Redmi Note 5 using Tapatalk
