Yep, you can. You must do a full backup. I recomand you TB too cause one time, twrp backup, after restare, boot into bootloop. Usually worked.

You can try. I have miui8 EU too but I don't lose energy that fast. Anyway, try that thing with restrict apps in background, in settings, power settings.

Did you try to format Data, system, cache and Dalvik Cache ? Like here : You will lose your apps and settings if you do that, so you might want to have a titanium backup backup :)

Try to activate the power saving mods of miui. It have 2 mods. I noticed too that in miui7 the battery last longer ...

How much faster ?

Internal Storage means your data, photos, music, porn , etc. Data means your apps and settings. so, when you upgrade from miui 8.0.1 to 8.0.2 for example, if you format only system, you don't lose anything. IF your phone ain't encrypted. If is encrypted, everything will be wiped out. So yes...

I don't know, when I upgraded I wiped everything, except the storage. Maybe works if you wipe System and Cache only, maybe not. (In TWRP). You must have the bootloader unlocked.

Hi. I have bootloader unlocked. Latest miui8 installed and rooted. And my brother that keep stealing my phone to get into my stuff, even if my phone is locked by a pin. He doesn't know the pin but with twrp he can connect to a pc and easely get whatever he wants. So I need to encrypt my phone...
