Interesting question. I would assume there are user statistics? I see lots of Motorola and LG here in Manchester, though. HTC and Samsung seem to have the biggest user group, but these personal experiences can be misleading, I reckon. Sent from my Xiaomi using Tapatalk

I am not aware you have to enable it. Just long press on the screen, in most apps it will give you the option to copy and paste. Sent from my Xiaomi using Tapatalk

Don't get that wrong: Miui still is a community based ROM, and the developers here work for free. They will prefer to care for phones that have a large user base. The Xiaomi phones have a large user base IN CHINA, and Xiaomi caters for it directly. They have been paid for it, so their customers...

You probably underestimate the work that needs to be done to maintain Miui and its many devices and weekly updates. And how many people outside China have a Xiaomi device? The original stock ROM from Xiaomi won't drop the Mi1 that fast. Sent from my Xiaomi using Tapatalk

Well, use something else then. :) Buying a Chinese phone and relying on a community based ROM does not entitle you to effortless full-service. ;) I just saw that you are in Germany, that explains why small things like that really are an issue for you. The typical Brit would shrug the shoulders...

As far as I know it's not legal to install Google Play via Miui's market. Just that in China no judge cares. I may be wrong about this one, though - but I know that Google licenses the full Android with market and Gapps only to certain conditions. As far as I understood offering the package...

Google Play Store cannot be included for legal reasons, as far as I know, thus the GApps come separately. I am not sure why you have this demanding tone ... but you might use Lennox' CWM recovery, that worked for me when I had trouble installing the GApps. PS: How is the correct carrier name...

    No Miui V5 for Mi1 and M1s?

Sounds good, but I would love know what the official people say about it. I just reckon in the emerging market in China you can't play your customers that badly by not delivering updates that early in the product cycle. But that's just an assumption and maybe wishful thinking.

    No Miui V5 for Mi1 and M1s?

I love to hear that. The Xiaomi shop in Guangzhou apparently said the same. Any Chance you could peovide me with a link? My Mandarin is lousy, but my wife can help me out. :)

Hm. Now I opened a thread for a similar topic. Should have mentioned it here perhaps instead. www.gsminsider.com/2012/12/miui-v5-that-based-on-android-41-might.html?m=1 No Miui V5 for the Mi1? Sent from my Xiaomi using Tapatalk

    No Miui V5 for Mi1 and M1s?

Hello altogether, I would have expected this topic to be widely discussed in the forum, but didn't find anything using the search function. On Xda someone pointed me to this article: www.gsminsider.com/2012/12/miui-v5-that-based-on-android-41-might.html?m=1 The Chinese message quoted indeed...
