move your sounds via root explorer into /system/media/audio/ringtones [for rings] or /notifications for shorter sounds. set attribute files to rw-r--r--] then choose them via system app. it works, even if it's only a workaround.

surely, you can't run ART, as it's unsupported (: I have only used xposed into cyanogenmod, and never in MIUI 4.4.4... no issue at all into CM, but there could be something in MIUI which generates some conflict [even if I don't know what it should be].

no issue ever with xposed framework on MIUI. which modules did you enable? are you running ART or davilk?

AOSP 5.0 is more fluid than CM11, too. god bless lollipops ^_^

glad you solved with new .zip! there are official channels to get chinese MIUI version though.. their flashable .zip's are 100% tested and secure ;)
