Is it possible to unlock again after having already unlocked and then relocked? In other words is unlocking a once-only thing. (Am guessing not, but better to be safe). Use case is if I want to extend life of a phone by using a technical shop for battery replacement.

How did you get on? Did you just start again via factory reset & then flashing Miui Stable Global Fastboot Rom?

Isn't the phone itself trying to help you by suggesting you try Ultra Battery Saver? That will put you in control, and then you can turn off Battery Optimisation for a few apps you want to exclude. If apps are heating up the phone, they will be using battery, which is a clue is it not?

Thanks for the info. Probably explains why installing LineageOS on my MiPad 4 Plus ended up corrupting the data partition and required reformatting sdcard. Including all my TWRP and Titanium Backups & movies!

I flashed this on my MiPad 4 (Plus) with no effect. I assume it just reinstalls QuickApps as per the (useful) filename? On reflection it was a bit reckless of me to flash without checking more, and also see if it required an undo changes option.

Is there any link where people kind find more information about this to study. I wouldn't want to install incompatible updated applications by mistake, for example. I always assumed a ROM update from xiaomi EU included relevant updates to system apps!
