Its definately a software problem since miui 8. On miui 7 the problem isnt there. Im not the only one with this problem... I got it resolved by downloading the flashable zip of the downloadmanager present on miui 7. But then the play store speed is back to normal but also the other programs dont...

Not gonna work. The download will still stay low. Bc the xunlei download manager is deleted... and only present in the china rom

Yep tried all of that! And i use the EU rom. But its also there on the global and dev roms.

Why doesnt xiaomi resolves this? Its a bug been present for over 8 months now...

Indeed. Found a solution already. The twrp zip replaces the downloadmanager with a newer one and now files larger than 35mb are back downloaded at 5M/s. So problem solved for now. Cant post the link until i have 10 posts. So PM if u have the same issue. Have a Redmi Note 3!

Have a serious issue. Running the latest rom. Updated thru twrp. My wifi and 3g/4g is fine. But download speeds from the play store and chrome are extremely slow... like 500kbits... especially with larger files and apps. Is there a fix? I already reinstalled everything but no luck

Have a serious issue. The download speeds in chrome and the play store are extremely slow... They are capped on 500kbits. Wifi is fully functional on other devices. Is this a known issue?
