    Mi5s cant update to V10.1.2

Okay I managed to resolve this by doing these steps on a pc: 1. download fastboot image from http://en.miui.com/thread-4790869-1-1.html 2. unzip the downloaded file and the file inside that 3. use fastboot (volume down + power button) to run flash_all_except_storage.bat (this will install the...

    Mi5s cant update to V10.1.2

Hi, is there a way to install the Oreo bootloader without fastboot i.e. without wiping the phone/apps (have a banking app that I mustn't wipe)? I'm also stuck with the Mi loading screen forever, thanks

    Mi5s Miui 9.2.1.0 Is Out

Oh OK, I do have App Vault. Having just had a quick look at it, I don't think I'll use it much, quite limited functionality

    Mi5s Miui 9.2.1.0 Is Out

There's App Lock (don't know what app vault is). There's no facial recognition but for me it's not required as the fingerprint reader is on the front / in easy reach

    Mi5s Miui 9.2.1.0 Is Out

Okay so I've got 9.2.2 stable installed now (was on 9.1.1). Things I've noticed so far are I don't get double notifications any more yay and my volte doesn't work anymore (says unsupported) - I don't mind this at all as calls would cut out regularly using volte before.

    Mi5s Miui 9.2.1.0 Is Out

Don't think so. It's been Chinese new year last week so expect loads of the devs have been off celebrating

    Mi5s Miui 9.2.1.0 Is Out

My point is, if its still on the forum, then they haven't actually pulled it even though its missing now from the download page. The download links are still on the forum page. In the past xiaomi.eu stable roms have come out even though it's not listed on the official miui download page.

Oh great, your baseband version is newer than mine so also got upgraded. I took an unnecessary step when I did mine then!

    Mi5s Plus - Upgrading From Android 6.0 To 7.0

Hmm, in that case, no I'm not 100% sure. Feel free to install without the modem step I mentioned and then we can compare baseband versions

    Mi5s Plus - Upgrading From Android 6.0 To 7.0

Also, I just realised the global stable miui9 has been pulled so perhaps get the modem from the latest global dev rom if that's miui9

    Mi5s Plus - Upgrading From Android 6.0 To 7.0

The way I did it on my Mi5s was: 1. Install twrp latest version via fastboot 2. Install baseband (modem) via fastboot by extracting the file from the global stable official xiaomi fastboot rom (. Tgz file) 3. Advanced wipe of system, data in twrp 4. Install xiaomi.EU stable 9.1 rom (.zip file)...

Mi5s Plus Arrived With Mi5s Rom

I assume you aren't using xiaomi.eu rom? If you're just using official rom then you can either update via updater app OTA (over the air from xiaomi) or update using the fast boot method (.tgz file you need to download from xiaomi). The advantage with fastboot is you're less likely to run into...

How To Upgrade Baseband Without Locking Bootloader

Hi, So now with the xiaomi.eu MIUI9 available, what's the procedure to upgrade the baseband? I think I need to extract a file from the global MIUI9 official fastboot rom and execute a fastboot command to install only that file. After that, I can then install the xiaomi.eu rom using twrp...
