Had this issue on Mi6 since update to V9. Solution: Wipe data in twrp (you will loose your apps ,contacts,...). But now it's working.

Normally it will be locked. If it's unlocked youl'll see the word "unlocked" at the bottom of the screen during the boot sequence of the phone.

Yes. No need to reboot. To copy rom to device you can to that with twrp -> Mount (MTP has to activated, maybe you have to select internal storage too). The device (internal storage) should be recognized then by your computer. Then select install and choose the rom (zip file) to install.

maybe your partition is encrypted before trying to install the xiaomi.eu rom format data partition in twrp !! then copy rom on your phone (internal storage) and install it to install twrp (bootloader has to be unlocked): -get your phone in fastboot mode -connect to pc (usb) -use following...

I had that issue too, crashed when pushing the check for updates button. => Go for settings, intalled apps and search for updater. I cleared cache and data and now the updater is working again properly

I replaced it on my phone in "system/priv-app/MiuiVideo" directory. You have to use rootexplorer. But it's just a workaround. To get the V9 working, wipe data in twrp (factory reset). Uploaded V8 miuivideo.apk file here because of file size : https://files.fm/u/stwffgbb
