Barcode scanning is not available if you choose english as the language, any ideas why?

Solved in the meantime. Need to create a chinese account first, which cannot be changed afterwards. The chinese account requires a phone number though. How can it be deleted afterwards? Any hints?

By the way, I'm using 2.4 GHz only, and all app permissions are enabled. Gabor
