Do not do this on Mi 8. Just causes bootloop and as not a masgisk module you can't even remove using MM for Recovery. Deleting app through recovery doesn't work either, so you're left with no option but to dirty flash ROM to get back up. Sent from my MI 8 using Tapatalk

I've said it before, for Mi 8 users I would honestly try using Orangefox recovery rather than TWRP. I have done so for some time and (fortunately) haven't faced any of the specific issues reported by Mi 8 owners. This isn't just for this version, but also previous ones. I dirty flashed after...

Honestly, I truly recommend using Orange Fox recovery for Mi 8 devices. I've been using a while now. Each time dirty flash having wiped dalvik/cache. Updates completely fine, with no glitches (to date), outside of general bugs reported by others.

Or just use Orange Fox
