Try checking if your device has lost Widevine L1 status. If that's the case, then you can get the L1 certification back by going to Settings->Passwords & Security-> Fingerprint unlock->Fingerprint payments-> Widevine (L1) and pressing the download button. Provided there's nothing else wrong...

You don't format data when flashing the same ROM, but different versions. Stock miui, Xiaomi EU stable and Xiaomi EU weekly ARE different ROMs, so Data partition wipe is required because the encryption changes slightly and it causes problems.

True. Then this isn't the correct forum to ask for help. They should be asking on the official xiaomi support forums. It may seem callous, but whenever one of us ask for help with xiaomi.eu ROMs over there, we only get marginal support.

That is valid only for the official rom. If you lock the bootloader after installing a custom one, the phone will be bricked. Xiaomi.eu roms can pass Safetynet, so you can still use banking apps. Plus the phone is encrypted, so it is secure as well.

The Android 11 update has been rolled out for months for all Redmi Note 9 Pro devices, barring the Taiwan Model. If you have that one, the only thing you can do is change the ROM manually, otherwise you should be able to do an OTA update via the updater app. EDIT: I see you have the EEA...

It's an Android 11 "limitation". Untill app developers change the way file picking is done on their apps for A11, sd card won't be accessible from said apps. EDIT: You can read more about it here Scoped Storage on Android 11

Used the method described. All seems okay, haven't tested nfc payments yet due to stores being closed, but all tests are positive right now. Will update further.

Checked on Joyeuse with stock rom and CTS check passes. Seems to be a rom error then.

So, I installed the Android 11 rom on my Joyeuse and after clearing caches everything works a-ok. After checking the zip file contents it seems that a persist image was not included, so no action was required on that front. CTS integrity, device certification and Widevine L1 are all in working...

That's what I'll do to test it, but on previous versions, you had to restore the Persist partition from the global rom to remain certified and keep Widevine L1, otherwise you had to install Magisk and use the attestation emulation from Magisk Hide Props. We'll see how it goes.
