Still no update for Note 9 pro EU

Hi ,
I would like to ask if this device gonna be upgraded to android 11?
Mine still on version Q with March security update .
Did some searching .I've found that you can apply updates using recovery roms with the updater app.
Unfortunately the process ends up with errors .can't flash this stable rom. can't verify update.
I've tried all recovery roms for redmi note 9 pro eea that are available mi website and community.
Any help would be appreciated.

I was trying the same as I recently purchase this device...
From what I found you have to:

Unlock the Bootloader.
Flash a custom recovery (I chose OrangeFox).
Download xiaomi.eu_multi_HMNote9ProEU_V12.5.2.0.RJZMIXM_v12-11.zip (latest stable/android11).
Flash the zip on custom recovery.

It's pretty simple to do, and xiaomi.eu ROMs hide the unlocked bootloader status, so you shouldn't have issues with that.

thank you for your replay and your time.. same as u i am new user to xiaomi devices (suggest by a friend) .i left Apple's umbrella for their stupid policies in general, what i cant understand is why i cant update my device normally even though I have tried to manually update it with no success.
about unlocking bootloader (thanks for information by the way), i know how to unlock and flash a custom recovery, what i don't understand is whay do i have to unlock it for sake of updating this cheap device at least Apple, Sony, Moto, which i own by the way are away a head with updates.
way updating all your eligible devices for the update (Android 11, 12) except this device?
this is the worst update process from a company I've ever seen.
for sure is my first and last xiaomi device.

You would be able to update without hassle using Settings IF the Android 11 update was official, the thing is that currently there isn't one yet.
So it's like any other device in that regard, you either wait for official update or you have to use alternative ways.
In my case I did investigate about the device and android version before, so when I bought it I already was expecting to have to flash it myself to update to 11.

The Android 11 update has been rolled out for months for all Redmi Note 9 Pro devices, barring the Taiwan Model. If you have that one, the only thing you can do is change the ROM manually, otherwise you should be able to do an OTA update via the updater app.

EDIT: I see you have the EEA version. For that model the last update is the12.5.6.0 beta that is on Android 11 also. Latest xiaomi.eu rom is based on 12.5.2.0 global stable that also has Android 11...

Thank yall for the replies, i tried the updater app for OTA but no joy, even though i tried the recovery rom V12.0.1.0 RJZEUXM to upgrade from 12.0.4.0 QJZEUXM and still cant error ( cant verify the update_cant flash this stable rom).
i care about security updates more than android versions.
bear in mind that I DONT WANT TO UNLOCK BOOTLOADER for security and because banking apps using for my business.

- You install ROM (update)
- You lock the bootloader

That is valid only for the official rom. If you lock the bootloader after installing a custom one, the phone will be bricked. Xiaomi.eu roms can pass Safetynet, so you can still use banking apps. Plus the phone is encrypted, so it is secure as well.

Yeah, all the ROM suggestions above need the bootloader unlocked, that's what I meant by saying it's not "official".
To be precise, if you don't want to unlock it you're out of solutions, you'll need to wait.

True. Then this isn't the correct forum to ask for help. They should be asking on the official xiaomi support forums. It may seem callous, but whenever one of us ask for help with xiaomi.eu ROMs over there, we only get marginal support.
