What, if anything, do we know about this new TWRP 3.5 ? What advantages does it have over LR-TWRP 3.4.1b, if any, and is it worth upgrading to?

No weekly ROMs, as of now, for Joyeuse. Due to it being an EU model, there may never be any beta's for it. Having said that, however, I'm not experiencing any issues with the Stable ROMs.

There are no weeklies for Joyeuse because it is not in Xiaomi's open beta program. Whether, or not, that will ever change, remains to be seen.

Install one of the v11 fastboot ROMs first, then sort out LR-TWRP, then Magisk 21 and finally use TWRP to upgrade to v12. ROM.

Can this LR-TWRP be installed directly from the previous LR-TWRP? I got "invalid zip format" when i tried.

As there is MUCH confusion with the naming of the numerous models within the Note 9 series, it is always best to also quote the particular model code name, for example, Joyeuse, Curtana, Excalabur, etc., etc. If you do not do this, you are highly likely to receive misleading advice !

I'm running with a 512gb SD in my phone... no issues at all. Mind you, I use it for maps and music, rather than TWRP.

The other LR-TWRP 3.4.1B backs up all partitions without any errors. You should ignore Lolo as he does not own this phone model (Joyeuse) .
