There is no developer owning that device on Xiaomi.eu as a mod told me, therefor it is full of bugs which won't likely be fixed with updates by Xiaomi.EU. Either search for a miui based custom ROM on XDA that is built by a developer owning the device or switch to your country's official ROM...

I have gotten confirmation in the main update thread that none of the developers has the device and therefore there won't be any improvements made to the ROM most likely forever as the device is regionally sold. So yes don't stick with Xiaomi EU ROM for curtana and for future buying decisions...

Xiaomi has disabled some features for older phones with miui 12.5 that Xiaomi EU hasn't disabled (long tap on app in recents doesn't open the 4 buttons for locking the app in ram etc for example) which are said to be heavy on the ROM speed. If I were you I'd try out of the problems also exist...

Now I have confirmation from the Devs why this is the case and that there won't be any improvements in the meantime. None of the Devs has the device, for future buying decisions better not get devices only released in certain areas of the world.

I've reported the same issues for RN9S, mine got less laggy when I turned off screen gestures and use the on-screen navigation but it's far from fluid, also there's a big with animation when opening apps and cellular sometimes doesn't find a network. Have to restart, airplane mode and switching...

Well I did just that, full wipe in TWRP and fresh install. But thank you nonetheless, maybe there is a stability update coming in the future.

Could you go to camera and look if the camera is turning to FRONT camera in the panorama and manual mode with no possibility to get it to work with rear camera (modes on the most right), and the camera quality is as it was before? Seems like I'm having some bugs as deteriorated camera quality...
