    After upgrade to MIUI 12.5.1/Android 11 RKQ it appears an additional Bluetooth option "Absolute volume": "Keep the volume of Bluetooth devices and the phone strictly consistent". After turning it off, sound quality improves.

    It doesn't seem to be a headphones issue. Once again: headphones connected to other device play well, whereas phone connected to another device still plays with poor dynamics.

    The problem may be related to SBC codec. In both cases - playing on headphones and on Yamaha amplifier this codec was used. Playing on other headphones using another codec was proper. Nevertheless I haven't found any way to change the codec on Mi True Wireless Earbuds.

    Audio via Bluetooth from Mi 9 SE has very poor quality - it seems that volume is automatically normalized - sound has very low dynamics. Volume strongly decreases when the music goes loud and vice-versa. Definitely it's a phone problem. Connected to a Bluetooth amplifier plays the same poor way...
