I have the exact same problem. I even turned off proximity sensor in settings but it still turns off the screen. I dont think your device is defective. But surely it isn't fault of Xiaomi.EU .

Can't enable bubbles on Messenger, slider is missing and when i tap on bubbles it gets me on an empty menu. Mi 10 Pro Clean install
