It will always use power, maybe 400mA from the wall at 100%.

Yes just make sure to reset SMS permissions for your SMS app. Test send and receive messages

Did you activate the sim card using Xiaomi activation service? Mine doesn't work in USA. I was able to activate in 2021 February but since then the activation service is not working.

Much better performance, just make sure to leave it plugged in after upgrade to sort some things out. I would not go back to MIUI 14 after upgrade.

Actually i just verified receiving SMS not working. Maybe due to dirty flash. Mi 11 Venus Edit: delete permissions and turn off RCS seems working
