    You need to provide more detail. What ROM did you have installed previously, what steps you took to install the ROM? Try wiping cache and dalvik cache from recovery, this may solve your problems. Peace.

    Stable 29 multi: Permission manager is useless.

    I had this problem with the 'official' 29 rom from en.miui.com. Rooted phone, but no apps would ask for root permission. Root monitor was empty too. Reflashing the rom fixed things, but I don't know what was wrong in the first place. Seems like the 'stable' roms here carry over the same bugs...

    Redmi 1S-wcdma-MIUI V5 and micro SD card

    I had issues with phone detecting sd card too. Seems it wasnt seated in the tray properly. Most phones I've used have a slot that you push the card into & it clicks into place, but the 1S is slightly different. Hopefully you might just need to reseat the card into position?

    Google Search update, black icon

    I get the same. Redmi 1S WCDMA, running Stable 24. it's likely a problem due to app update from google. Edit: using MiHome launcher (available on Play Store and others) the icon displays properly but still doesn't respond to touches...stock miui launcher has a black/blank icon.

    Changing CPU values

    Hi folks... Anyone have any luck with changing max/min speed of the processor? I have tried with NoFrillsCPUControl and similar, to set the values for the CPU, but nothing seems to "stick". Or actually work! Anyone else tried and had more luck? Thanks

    I'm using my 1S in the UK on the O2 network. 3G works brilliantly, signal goes up to H+ which is as fast as you can get without going to 4G (which my sim, but NOT this phone, supports).
