Looking forward to HTC Desire S ;). Got time on my hands to test.

I have a copy of latinIME.apk that is safe (virus free etc. ) that I used to fix the keyboard problem on an HTC Desire S that rain987 is having. What is the best way to get this on here?

The problem I had was that I couldn't download from market because I couldn't enter the password for my wifi. I could connect through 3G but couldn't perform a search due to lack of keyboard. This is how I fixed it. If you find and download latinIME.apk, there is a link somewhere in XDA...

There was a version for HTC desire S a couple of weeks ago but not last week. Has this phone been discontinued for V5? I merely ask for information not to give a hard time. Using V4 and am very happy with it. Thanks again for all your hard work.

We have been told not to ask about when we are going to get V5 for our devices. So I won't. But I hope you bring this out for the HTC Desire S. ;) But not asking, not asking...

Is there an app or method to turn off data when the screen goes off? I have used Juice defender and Green Power in the past and although these work they create a lot of wake locks which seems to drain the battery faster than if I manually disable data. I don't need data schedules so only need to...

HTC Desire S. App control no longer works. Can't stop apps from autostarting. Untick an app but tick returns when you come out of app control and go back in.

Do you use anything to get around this like another app ? I have a number of apps I don't want autostarting. The app control in MIUI was one of the features I really liked about MIUI.

I have the same problem on HTC Desire S. Tried deleting Dalvik but problem still exists. Help!!!

Autostart manager doesn't work in this version. I can click on an entry and I get the red cross but when you go back in it has gone back to a tick and the background app has restarted. Read on a forum that wiping the Dalvik can fix this but didn't work when I tried it. HTC Desire S. Any suggestions?

Getting a really bad phone signal since installing current version on HTC Desire S. It shows no signal quite often, the rest of the time one or at most two bars but seems to jump around between these three states.

I assume that was such an ignorant comment that no one will answer it? What I meant was what effect it will have?

I have a small problem on my HTC Desire S. Occasionally my WIFI locks. The notification bar shows that WIFI is connected but when I try to use an internet app it says that I have no connection and should review my network settings. If I toggle WIFI off and on again it works fine. 3g works fine...
