I understand this, but if that is the case, maybe it'd be a good idea to stop introducing new stuff that can break other things, rather than update to a version with such failures. If you deliver a new version, you have to be prepared to fix its bugs. Or even better, you have to test it well...

Looks like the freezing happens when there is a notification. Everytime my phone dies (starting to get sick of it, really), and I have to reboot it, I have a notification (App updates, SMS, etc). I think this is worth a hotfix, we would really appreciate if a solution is posted before Friday...

Exactly. HTC One X also has a bug, the lock screen freezes the phone, but it looks like it's not that important to fix it. They haven't even acknowledged the bug or said anything about it. My recommendation? Drop MIUI and find something else, it's quite sad that a bug that renders your phone...
