necrobump
I still don't have access to the router in question, but Windows 8 tells me that the wireless router that the newer kernels can't authenticate/connect to is made by MikroTik.
I still hope for the JLB 7 kernel instead of a newer build...
Also is MIUI V5 confirmed to be Android 4.1.1/4.1.2? There are some annoying bugs confirmed in API 16 dev emulator and various other real phones for the current Jelly Bean version that are fixed in 4.2... although looking at the...
How do you sort Alarm Clocks in MIUI? Even my Symbian phone sorted alarms by next-day-first (e.g., if today is Wednesday, then I see alarms for Thurs,Fri,Sat,Sun,Mon,then Tues.)
MIUI is sorted by 9am,10am,11am..., which is useless.
If MIUIv5 == Jelly Bean 4.2, then hopefully it includes Jelly Bean 4.2 features (lockscreen widgets).
The AAC decoder is bugged in Jelly Bean 4.1.x for some files, so hopefully this at least gets fixed.
...and please give me the Qualcomm kernel from Dec 26....
I have solved the mystery.
Alarms and Ringtones go in /sdcard/MIUI/ringtone. Files will then appear above "System Resources".
This should be stickied somewhere, and it's wrong on the MIUI FAQ (someone tell Xiaomi?).
I deleted an empty Alarms folder in the root of sdcard a long time ago, but it never worked before I deleted the folder either.
I've attached my Alarms / Select Ringtone page - "System Resources" is the only category. Selecting "Short" or "All", the Ogg is still missing.
Is it because the...
Tried both "alarms" and "Alarms" (filesystem is case sensitive after all), neither works.
When I go to choose Ringtone, there are two tabs, "Local" and "Online". "Online" is literally the internet. "Local" has a category "System Resources", and a button "Others" that asks you to choose a...
Is there a way to get audio files to show up in Alarm / Local / System Resources, so we don't need to browse for them via Alarm/Local/Others?
I've tried
/media/audio/alarms
but they don't show up.
I'm using Ogg Vorbis files.
Have you installed BetterBatteryStats to see what "msm_hsic_host" is doing in the kernel?
Also what kernel is 2.12.21? (I'm hopeful that the battery life issues is not related to MIUI, but to the kernel.)
JLB 7 kernel is ge78e751-00663-ge1b70f8 built on Dec 26.
Currently on JLB 7, I have sync on for an IMAP email account, as well as Browser/Calendar/Contacts with my Gmail. (I am not syncing email with my Gmail address.)
I get 3G / H+ coverage depending on where I am outside. Inside, I am using a microcell for coverage, as my Mi 2 struggles to get...
Yeah, confirmed - JLB 7 appears to sleep less than JLB 11, even though WiFi is only turned on when needed in JLB 7, but it only drains ~1% instead of 40%+ overnight. I really hope these posts will help someone get this fixed (or just revert the kernel to Dec 26)
Awful, awful kernel battery...
